Besides drawing near-naked ladies and cute monsters, I often do experimental stuff with code. It’s fun, and when I solve problems and/or get fantastic results I scream with joy (the pants even become a bit soggy).
Anyway, today I made this thing. Doesn’t do much, but I might use it someday. Might not. It was a fun 3 hours though.
I’ll let you figure it out. Half the fun is finding out what it does for yourself. I’ll let you in on one thing though, the tiles rearrange themselves when you resize the browser window. And it’s super-uberly cool when you stretch the browser over two screens (if you have dual display).
~sigh… It’s made in Action Script 1. I’m too noob for AS2.
Hmmm…interesting!
*jaw drops* 3 hours on this, you’ve got a great mind and lots of patience. By now i would have cried and had about 4 cups of coffee
I had loved problem solving in high school, I loved writing out the code and then seeing the robot lego pieces do what i told it to do.I thought it was for me. Then Software Design Hsc and Visual Basic (bleh) ruined it for me, So I changed my preferences to chem engineering, and i got Design Viscom instead I was supposed to transfer though i fell in love) and i think it’s meant to be…
hehe.
I kinda loathed Software Design in HS. I kinda understood what it was all about but fuck.. it was such a boring subject theory-wise….
And the HSC exam… lets not get started there…
Cool++
It often likes to resist me dragging pictures for distances greater than say 100px, but the intended effect is very nice! 😀
Hmm, if u drag slowly, the tiles can move > 100 pixels. However, once it hits another tile that is above it in depth (first tile has lowest depth), then the drag function stops working.
~sigh. I’ll fix its bugs when I can be arsed. keke.
